The Ideas Lab is an innovative, content-focused event that brings together over 500 experts, opinion- and policy-makers from all over the world. The special feature of this event is that the debates take place in small groups of maximum 30 participants, all leading experts in their respective policy areas, to rise a lively, constructive, and frank debate, which is intended to come up with new ideas and concrete policy recommendations for the EU institutions.

Prime Minister of Latvia Ms. Laimdota Straujuma will open the event and Latvian Foreign Minister Mr. Edgars Rinkēvičs will participate in the opening plenary with a speech on European Security Strategy: Challenges and Responses.
