Data protection
On Monday 15 June, justice ministers will try to reach a general approach on the data protection regulation. This general approach will constitute the basis for negotiations with the European Parliament in order to agree the final text of the regulation.
Migration
On Tuesday 16 June, home affairs ministers will discuss the follow up to the European Council statement on migration, from 23 April. In this statement, EU leaders agreed to four priority areas of action to stop further loss of life at sea. Ministers will also discuss the Commission communication on a European agenda for migration.
Terrorism
The Council will also focus on the follow up to the European Council statement on terrorism. It will also take stock of two reports from the Latvian presidency and the Counter-Terrorism Coordinator on this matter.
