On 20-21 January at the National Library of Latvia, the EU Defence Policy Directors Informal Meeting will take place to discuss defence policy issues.

The EU Defence Policy Directors will discuss hybrid warfare, ongoing EU military operations and the rapid response concept, as well as the implementation of the European Council conclusions.

The participants are the Defence Policy Directors of the 28 Member States and officials from the European External Action Service, the Commission, the European Defence Agency, the European Union Military Staff, the European Union Military Committee and NATO.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia and the European External Action Service are organising this informal EU Defence Policy Directors meeting. The informal meeting of Defence Policy Directors takes place every six months in the presiding country.
