The workshop organised by the State Fire and Rescue Service of Latvia will bring together representatives from all the Member States of the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, the European Commission, the European Parliament, the General Secretariat of the Council, the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction (UNISDR), the European Disability Forum, the NGO sector in Latvia as well as international experts from Latin America, North America, Asia and Europe.

Experts will discuss the needs of persons with disabilities throughout disaster management cycle, examples of best practice and innovative solutions and technologies for persons with disabilities.
