11 June (Transport issues)

The Council will seek a general approach on technical requirements for inland waterway vessels. It will take stock of progress on proposals to improve rail services and update the current EU rules on air passenger rights.

12 June (Telecommunications issues)

Ministers are expected to adopt a general approach on a programme on interoperability solutions for European public administrations, businesses and citizens (ISA2). The Council is also due to adopt conclusions on the transfer of the stewardship of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) functions to the multistakeholder community. In addition, ministers will take stock of progress on proposed web accessibility rules and discuss the Digital Single Market Strategy. The Commission will present its digital Single Market strategy from 6 May, and ministers will have the opportunity to express their views on the strategy and its effective implementation.
