On 10-12 June 2015, during the Latvian Presidency of the EU Council, a meeting of seed certification agencies will be held in Riga, at which the heads of the certification agencies from EU Member States, the EFTA countries and the Candidate States will meet to discuss seed certification matters.

At the meeting in Riga, it is planned to focus on the harmonisation of regulations and improvement of the seed certification process, etc. Excursions are also planned to the University of Latvia's Babīte rhododendron nursery and Latvia Agricultural University's Pēterlauki research farm in Lielplatone.
