From 16th till 18th of June, 2015 25th Congress of the Nordic Association of Agriculture Scientists (NJF) "Nordic View to Sustainable Rural Development'' will take place in Riga, Latvia.

The Congress is dedicated to creating a platform for exchanging the latest research results and sharing the advanced research methods in various sectors in bioeconomy, agriculture and rural development. The topics of the Congress aim to embrace a wide range of aspects in agriculture including crop farming, animal welfare, farm management, sustainable land management and also agriculture policy, education and consulting in agriculture and many others.

The Congress is one of the associate events of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and it is organized by the Latvian National Association of the NJF together with the NJF Board and Scientific Committee, the Latvian Academy of Science, Latvia Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Science, Latvia University of Agriculture, University of Latvia and Ministry of Agriculture of Latvia.
