The security of state borders is a component of national security. The flows of persons and vehicles across state borders needs to be controlled by identifying risks and providing surveillance and security on the state border. In order to control cross-border flows in Latvia and other EU Member States, a state border security policy has been implemented which required an integrated approach. During the meeting representatives from the Eastern Partnership countries will exchange views and learn of best practices in the EU Member States in the field of Integrated Border Management.
