“Attracting and Retaining Talent in Europe” conference is organised by the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs as the Latvian Contact Point for the European Migration Network in cooperation with the Directorate-General for Home Affairs of the European Commission. The conference highlights one of the priorities set in the context of migration by the President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker, which envisages development of such legal migration policy that would allow Europe to become one of the favourite destinations for migrants, thus addressing demographic challenges that Europe is likely to face in the future. At the same time this will be the first event where preliminary findings of the study “Admitting third-country nationals for business purposes” prepared by the European Migration Network will be presented.
