The kokle is an ancient musical instrument which is considered a symbol of Latvian folk music, and its presence in Latvia dates back to 2 000 years ago.

In collaboration with the Latvian National Radio station for classical music, the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the EU will donate a specially crafted kokle to the Musical Instruments Museum in Brussels.
