A Chance Meeting with Latvia is an exhibition of works by a Belgian photographer who refers to himself as a casual traveller that likes to take photos. Yet a glimpse of the young artist’s work reveals a true talent and unique ability to take photos that capture the emotions, the atmosphere, and even the sounds of the Latvian countryside. The exhibition tells the story of Latvians and their close bonds with nature.

The author Tim Theo confesses: “What started out as a chance meeting on the road turned into a stay of over three months and a burgeoning love for the country of amber, forests and endless horizons”.

The travels of Tim Theo brought him to the lakes of Latgale in Eastern Latvia, to the Gauja National Park, and to Ovīši in the Kurzeme forests.

The exhibition can be seen from 4 May to 4 June at the Information Point of the European Commission and the EU Council in Brussels (Rue Archimède 1).

Open Mon-Fri, 9:00-17:00, entrance free of charge.
