The forum entitled "The role of social dialogue in facilitating quality jobs” takes place on 31 March 2015 in Riga and is organised by the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK) in cooperation with the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia (LBAS).

The main goal is to exchange experience among the EU Member States and social partners’ organisations by promoting the transfer of best practices. The discussions will focus on the role of social dialogue in ensuring economic growth, the country’s competitiveness and the creation of quality jobs, and on strengthening social dialogue and the challenges faced in the EU. The results of the discussions will help Member States to improve social dialogue in the regions and facilitate the involvement of social partners in policy action.

Around 150 representatives from employers’ organisations and trade unions, the EU social partners’ organisations, the National Trilateral Cooperation Council and the Presidency will take part.
