The formal meetings of the Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO) take place twice every six months, but each presidency also organises an EPSCO informal meeting to discuss topical issues and new initiatives regarding employment, social affairs and health.

The informal meeting will take place over three days. Ministers for Health will meet on 20-21 April and Ministers for Labour and Social Affairs on 21-22 April. The Ministers for Health will discuss the development of EU policy on alcohol and nutrition. The Ministers for Labour and Social Affairs will hold a discussion on social dialogue issues.
