During the Latvian Presidency, the Latvian Ministry of Economics and the Consumer Rights Protection Centre will organise the European Consumer Protection Conference in Riga on 23-24 April 2015. This international conference on topical issues relating to consumer protection will be organised as a platform for sharing opinions and best practices which brings together high-level policy developers and consumer protection institutions from the EU and EFTA countries, the European Commission, OECD representatives, and European consumer and business organisations. Once the priorities for the upcoming period have been analysed and the participants have given their views and examples of best practices, the conference will provide an opportunity to discuss the development of consumer protection policy at the highest level.
