The Festival, which usually takes place in February during the week of Saint Valentine’s Day, deals with the theme of “Love” in all its forms. The films selected are far removed from obsolete and overused romantic clichés, the aim being to take a new look at the world and at film directors whose works are unfortunately not often commercially distributed.

Latvia will be represented by Andris Gauja's film The Lesson (Izlaiduma gads). It is included in the festival's European competition. The screening of the movie will take place on 25 February at 20:00 and on 26 February at 18:30 at the Plaza Art cinema.

During the festival, the Lotto Mons Expo exhibition centre becomes a Cinema Village where cinema lovers and movie makers can meet. Discussion nights, exhibitions and performances take place at the Village throughout this period.

The films are shown at the Imagix Mons and Plaza Art cinemas, with the opening and closing events taking place at the Royal Theatre of Mons.
