Works by Franz Liszt, Thierry Escaich, Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Over the past few years Iveta Apkalna has succeeded in ‘wiping the dust off’ the queen of all musical instruments and establishing a new reputation for the organ. Through her compelling performances, technical brilliance, and charismatic stage presence, she has managed to achieve star status. Iveta Apkalna has made it her mission to bring the splendour of organ music out beyond church walls and into concert halls. Recent highlights include a recital at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and performances with the Cologne Philharmonic and in Antwerp Cathedral.

Born in Rēzekne, Latvia, Iveta studied piano and organ at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and continued her studies at the London Guildhall School of Music in England and Stuttgart Academy of Music and Fine Arts in Germany. Iveta Apkalna currently lives in Berlin and in Riga.
