Throughout 2015, Latvian design will be represented at four contemporary design exhibitions under the joint title of Design Manifestation. The exhibitions will showcase Latvian contemporary design products and services and demonstrate how design tools can help to offer improved solutions to economic, social and environmental problems.

Design Manifestation will be made up of four parts.

From 8 January to 5 July, the first exhibition 'Design Manifestation / Reputation' will be on display at the National Library of Latvia. It will focus on examples of Latvian design that have been rewarded in an international context with prestigious design awards.

On 5 February, the exhibition entitled 'Design Manifestation / Humanisation' will start at the Museum of Decorative Art and Design. It will be dedicated to Latvian design products, services and processes that demonstrate the application of design in various areas of daily life. The exhibition will be on show until 29 March.

The third exhibition, 'Design Manifestation / Information', will be displayed in the Art Academy of Latvia’s 1st floor exhibition hall from 5 to 29 March. Visitors will get to know about various aspects of Latvian graphic design: packaging, identity, publication design, digital, service, process and advertising design, as well as new media.

Finally, from 1 to 31 October, the fourth exhibition, 'Design Manifestation / Situation', will take place at GORS, the Embassy of Latgale in Rēzekne. It will give an overview of the present situation regarding design in Latvia.

The curators of the exhibition cycle are Barbara Ābele, Ingūna Elere, Dita Danosa and Holgers Elers. The idea is executed by the Design Bureau H2E.
