The participants in the International Trade Union Conference entitled "Trade union role in promotion of sustainable growth and quality job creation” will hold discussions on the provision of high-quality jobs, the engagement of young people in the labour market, migration of the workforce and the role of trade unions. After the discussions, they will draw up recommendations on how to strengthen the capacity of trade unions and social dialogue at a national and EU level and on promoting sustainable growth and new and decent jobs.

Representatives from the Free Trade Union Confederation of Latvia (LBAS), trade unions in the EU Member States, the EU institutions, the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia and the government of Latvia will attend the Conference.
