On 26 June 2015, a high-level informal meeting of statutory auditor supervisors and audit policy-makers from the Baltic States will be held at the Ministry of Finance in Riga. The meeting will focus on issues relating to EU audit reforms and cooperation opportunities in the Baltic States in the field of statutory audit supervision.

The meeting is organised by the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Latvia in cooperation with colleagues from Lithuania and Estonia within the framework of the Latvian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The purpose of the meeting is to promote a dialogue between representatives of the Baltic States on matters related to European Union reforms in the audit sphere, thereby promoting the efficient development of institutions supervising auditors and audit companies in the Baltic States. For this reason, the meeting will focus on problems and topical issues in the sphere of audit services in the Baltic States and member states of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
