During the Informal Meeting of Directors General responsible for Territorial Cohesion and Urban Development, representatives of the EU Member States and EU institutions will discuss potential improvements in implementing the goal of territorial cohesion and targeted actions towards facilitating territorial (including urban) development.

The task for the Latvian Presidency is to help prepare the agenda for the Informal Meeting of Ministers responsible for Cohesion Policy, Territorial Development and Urban Development taking place in Latvia.

Representatives from the EU Member States, partner countries (Norway, Turkey, Iceland, Switzerland, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Montenegro), the EU institutions (the European Commission, the European Parliament, the Committee of the Regions) and social partner institutions will atend the meeting. It is planned to have around 150 participants present at the meeting.
