Every year several high-level management seminars are organised on issues in specific fields of customs which need to be discussed by the heads and deputies of the Member States’ customs authorities. At the High-level Seminar on Customs Matters organised by the SRS Customs Board the following issues will be discussed: measures to fight the smuggling of goods and thus protect the EU's external borders and internal market; international cooperation to prevent the illegal movement of goods across the EU's external borders, including airports and ports; and the detection of goods smuggling schemes.
