On 27-28 May 2015, during the Latvian Presidency of the EU Council, an informal meeting of the EU Training Directors will be held in Riga in parallel with the 15th European Diplomatic Programme organised annually for young diplomats.

The informal meeting will be attended by Training Directors from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of all the Member States as well as representatives of the European External Action Service and the General Secretariat of the Council, who will discuss current diplomatic training issues and new initiatives, whilst young diplomats from the Member States will attend the 4th – and final – training module of the 15th European Diplomatic Programme to learn more about issues related to the central theme of this year’s programme "Emerging challenges and global issues in current diplomacy" from the Latvian perspective.
