Pursuant to Article 13 of the Treaty on Stability, Coordination and Governance in the Economic and Monetary Union (TSCG), Latvia as the presiding country of the Council of the European Union, is organising the Interparliamentary Conference on stability, coordination and governance in the Economic and Monetary Union, in cooperation with the European Parliament.

The Conference will take place in Brussels within the framework of European Parliamentary Week. For the fourth time the Conference will bring together members of national parliaments and of the European Parliament, as well as high-level officials from the European Union institutions, in order to discuss issues pertaining to the TSCG, with an emphasis on the European Union’s new investment plan, best practices in implementing the Fiscal Compact and strengthening the social dimension of the Economic and Monetary Union.
